Seeing the Lexus LFA in person makes it easy to forget that the supercar has been in development for more than 10 years. But you do get a wondrous amount of technology for $375,000, the carbon-fiber body, a retractable rear wing and a compact V10 so fast that analog gauges couldn’t keep up with it. Add to that 553 hp, 354 lb-ft of torque and a 202-mph top speed, and we just had to put the LFA to the test at our favorite local racetrack.
According to the show's organisers, the 2013 LA Motor Show is the 'mother of all shows' - how wonderfully American! It runs from 20 November to 1 December at the Los Angeles Convention Center, and although it's not the biggest motor show on Earth, it does boast a fair number of world debuts and 'first reveals' – many of which we’ve rounded up in the following gallery. Jaguar has revealed a Speedboat Concept at the first XF Sportbrake driving events to show how Jaguar design translates in other products. Before you get too excited, the Jaguar Speedboat isn’t a new item on the XF Sportbrake’s option list, but an exercise in translating Jaguar’s design philosophy in to an alternative product; one that fits seamlessly with Jaguar’s ‘Lifestyle’ pitch for the XF Sportbrake. Jaguar’s design guru, Ian Callum, said:
